Native Starches

Native starches are used as natural thickeners in soups, sauces and preserves, in hot sauces and in confectionery creams.

The addition of native starches to bakery products improves dough properties due to their excellent liquid absorption and helps stabilise product structure during the freezing and thawing phases of food.

Native starches also enhance the taste and extend the shelf life of the final products.
