Field Bean Meal
The field bean, also known as “broad bean” or “fava bean”, is characterised by a particularly high protein and starch content. Field bean flour is used to enrich proteins in baked goods, especially in toast and white bread. As the legume can also be grown in Europe, field beans are increasingly being considered as a more sustainable alternative to imported soya from overseas. The field bean flour we offer is produced in a mill in Austria from regionally grown genetically unmodified fava beans.
